I did not start this work yesterday. I have been working on this project since 2017. For the past years, I have been focusing on three villages: Itimbo, Matanana, and Mapogoro. In these villages, I have been trying my best to look after orphans who lost their parents to HIV and other health issues, and widows who have no way to earn a living. But the truth is, the need is too big for me alone. There are many more interior villages where the children are not going to school because they lack uniforms and books. There are widows living in houses that are breaking down, and they have no way to feed their families. I am looking for $15,000 to reach these deeper interior villages. With your help, I will: Support School Children: Buy uniforms, shoes, and school kits for orphans in the most remote areas. Fix Shelters: Help widows repair their small houses so they are safe from the wind and rain. Start Chicken Farming: I want to give widows a "start-up" with local chickens. This has worked well in Matanana and Itimbo—it helps a woman sell eggs so she can buy food and soap without begging. I have seen the smiles of the children in Mapogoro when they get a new book. Now, I want to take those smiles to the next village. I have the experience since 2017, I know the families, and I know the local leaders. I just need the funds to buy the supplies. Even a small donation of $10 makes a huge difference here in the village. I will keep sharing updates and photos from the field so you can see the work we are doing together. Thank you for your kindness and for remembering the people of Mafinga. God bless you, Derick Mpinda Mafinga, Iringa - Tanzania.
