My name is Emmanuel Ntenga and I am reaching out with hope in my heart for the safety and future of my three sons, ages 11, 9, and 15 months. For many years, I have endured an abusive marriage while doing everything I could to protect my children. I have been isolated from family and friends and have no support system to help us leave. My husband has also threatened to take my children away from me, and I know that the safest choice for us is to start over in another part of the country. Leaving is incredibly difficult because I do not have the financial means to do it on my own. I am asking for your help so that I can give my children a chance to grow up in a safe, peaceful environment where they no longer have to live in fear. The funds raised will help us with: • Bus fare to travel to another part of the country where we can safely begin again. • Rent, a security deposit, and essential utilities for a modest home. • Food and other basic necessities while we get settled. • Enrolling my two school-aged sons in a government school, including school uniforms, stationery, and other required supplies. • Essential items for my 15-month-old baby as we rebuild our lives.
